About the Role:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Workday HCM Specialist to join our HR team at Mercedes AMG F1. This role will support our Workday Functional Lead and Workday Analyst to help troubleshoot and resolve issues and deliver improvements to our Workday platform for HR colleagues and the wider Team.

The Team went live with Workday in 2018, and we are currently going through a process of reconfiguration and enhancement with a long list of changes already planned for 2024 and beyond, all with a view to delivering better employee experience and improved control and efficiency. As a result, we are looking for additional resource to add capacity and broaden the technical competency of our existing People Systems team.

Key Accountabilities (Duties):

  • Acting as a key contact for the HR team and the wider organisation of circa 1,250 employees. Offering support, assistance, analysis, reporting, and helping to resolve Tier 1 incidents and service requests relating to our Workday platform.

  • Understanding the escalation process for Tier 2 services and incidents and being able to triage them before handover to external AMS support.

  • Documenting, implementing, and testing changes and improvements to our Workday platform such as process efficiency enhancements.

  • Authoring reports and dashboards that provide analysis and meet the requirements of the HR team, ensuring alignment to their needs, including executive report packages.

  • Providing guidance and training to other HR colleagues to help ensure processes and their roles in them are clearly understood.

  • Highlighting and improving data quality as a foundation for confident analysis and insight.

  • Testing of Workday bi-annual feature releases and keeping your knowledge current on new capabilities.

  • Supporting improvement projects by providing Workday functional expertise.

To be successful you will have:

  • Previous experience of working in a HR Shared service team.

  • Ability to translate technical and functional solutions to non-technical audiences.

  • Desire to learn more and exploit the Workday platform and bring value to the team.

  • Appreciation of the importance of adhering to IT change management and HR compliance processes.

  • Willingness to raise areas of improvement and not be afraid to try new things to deliver better outcomes.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and changing priorities and will be self-motivated and flexible to adapt and deliver.

  • Understanding of Workday Core HCM including Security and Reporting is essential, with additional specialism in People Experience, Recruiting, Learning or Compensation.

  • Demonstrable experience introducing new Workday business processes and functional changes including knowledge of process mapping and change management.

  • Significant knowledge of HR processes.

  • Experience in managing a ticketing system and the ability to triage cases for 3rd party support.
