Doriane Unveils Exciting New Racing Programme

Mercedes Junior Doriane Pin will compete in this year's Formula Regional Championship by Alpine (FRECA), expanding her racing programme

The 20-year-old has emerged as one of motorsport's rising stars and will race in Iron Dames' all-female line-up alongside Marta Garcia.

FRECA is a well-established step on the single-seater ladder positioned between F4 and F3.

It provides Doriane with another opportunity to ply her talents, dovetailing her efforts with her existing F1 Academy programme.

She will drive with Iron Dames, the pioneering initiative dedicated to promoting women in sports, that is entering the series for the first time.

"I feel grateful for this opportunity to participate in such a championship," Doriane said. "I'm fully committed to this new challenge and can't wait to be on track and make the most of it.

"It's fantastic to take another important step in single-seater racing together with Iron Dames and Mercedes.

"Together with Marta [Garcia], we aim to inspire young girls around the world to pursue their dreams fearlessly and embrace opportunities in racing."

Doriane is in her first full-season of single-seater racing and has shown great potential already. She was the class of the field in F1 Academy's opening round in Jeddah, adding to winter victories in Formula 4 South East Asia and Formula 4 United Arab Emirates.

The Frenchwoman is also an established racer in sportscars and will participate in several World Endurance Championship events with Iron Dames, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Deborah Mayer, Iron Dames Project Founder, said: "I'm delighted that the Iron Dames project is entering FRECA with Doriane and Marta.

"Stepping into a new single-seater championship is another step in our drive to promote and develop the brightest female talent in motor racing.

"We look forward to seeing them rise to this challenge and continue their journey to the highest level."

The FRECA season gets under way at Hockenheim on 12 May and will visit 10 acclaimed European circuits including numerous F1 venues such as Spa, Zandvoort, and Monza.
