NEWS: It's All in the Name... Introducing Mercedes-AMG ONE Mercedes-AMG's up-coming hy...

Mercedes-AMG's up-coming hypercar officially has a name!

Mercedes-AMG's mind-boggling hypercar has already been spotted out in the wild for the first time, during intensive testing on high-performance race tracks.

The camouflaged beast has been put through its paces at secret testing facilities in England, although it proved to be quite difficult to shield the sound of its Formula One powertrain from the public...

Therefore, it proved to be the perfect opportunity to show off the first shots of the car in action.

This followed on from hundreds of hours spent testing the powertrain on some of the world's toughest race tracks on the dyno at Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth.

But now, another piece of the hypercar's puzzle has fallen into place... the name! And it perfectly illustrates the car's ambition: to bring Formula One technology to the road.

The Mercedes-AMG ONE will be the pinnacle of Mercedes-AMG's portfolio, the absolute top-of-the-line model (making ONE the perfect fit, really).

Merging complicated, sophisticated aerodynamics and cutting-edge design with the 1.6-litre V6 Turbo hybrid powertrain from Formula One, the hypercar brings racing technology to the streets.

The powertrain produces over 1,000hp and will propel the car to top speeds exceeding 350km/h, teams in Brackley, Brixworth and Affalterbach working together to bring that goal to life.

Aside from the powertrain, another stand-out technical feature in the car is active aerodynamics, which is currently going through wind tunnel testing and is made up of a multi-part, two-stage extendable rear wing.

We can't wait to find out more about the ONE as it continues its journey to production!
