It's the start of my season and we are in Barcelona for the first test. As we get to the end of the day the sun starts to drop and we have the opportunity to take some interesting backlit images. Must remember to put in a request to the engineers next year - please keep the car out running until 6.00pm!

I didn't really know Valtteri that well until this year. This was early in the season and he must be wondering why I am photographing him leaning against a television screen. Obviously he can't see the photograph from my angle. He is now getting used to my style and trusts me to do my job. I think we have a good working relationship.

This is the start finish straight at Monaco. Standing on the 11th storey of a building gave me this different viewpoint as the cars drove in and out of the shadows cast by the trees. The car driving over a zebra crossing highlights the fact drivers race at high speed on the same roads used by the public every day.

This was a feature I photographed with Lewis at Silverstone. Driving round the circuit, we stopped at every corner and Lewis described how he would approach each one. I was amazed at his thought process and the detailed decisions he has to make in a split second during a race.

Photographing Lewis crowd surfing after winning the British Grand Prix is a complete lottery. I stayed out of the scrum and luckily got a relatively clean shot to sum up his joy at his home race.

I'm not a big fan of working in the rain! The waterproof camera covers really impair the way I work but sometimes you just have to do it. This was a very wet Saturday at Monza. I think this photograph illustrates the skill of the drivers handling conditions like these at high speed.

Everyone take selfies. Now Lewis has taken it to the next level. I captured him using all his acrobatic skills to take a selfie whilst hanging over the Tifosi.

Suzuka is a favourite circuit with most motorsport photographers. I think this illustrates the speed of this flowing classic circuit.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Lewis Hamilton doing his superman impression after winning the Austin Grand Prix. He flies over the cheerleaders by leaping off the podium backdrop.

Sunset photographs are often a cliché in any form of photography but I think this one sums up the end of the season. It shows Valtteri setting pole position for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He went on to win the race and end his season on a high.
