Every year, Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport is proud to support two charities selected through an extensive selection process, with great causes nominated by team members throughout our factory facility in Brackley and elected by a panel of board representatives.
For 2015, we are pleased to offer our support to the Air Ambulance Service and the Muscle Help Foundation.
To find out more about the fantastic work conducted by our selected charities, please see below:
The Air Ambulance Service operates the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, Derbyshire Leicestershire & Rutland’s Air Ambulance, and also the only dedicated National Children’s Air Ambulance.
The Children’s Air Ambulance
The Children’s Air Ambulance flies critically ill children from a hospital to a specialist care hospital. The bespoke, specialist equipment on board the helicopter provides a flying intensive care unit for children. When a child is too sick to fly The Children’s Air Ambulance flies a specialist team to them four times quicker than transfer by road. In many cases, time saved is a life saved.
Local Air Ambulance Services
- Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA)
- Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA)
Between them, the above serve a total of five counties – providing rapid response to trauma and medical emergencies over an area of 3,850 square miles.
Covering many of the UK’s major road networks including the M1, M6, M69 and M42, these services attend an average of six missions a day. All three services are funded by generous donations. The Air Ambulance Service receives no government funding.

The Muscle Help Foundation (MHF) is a family charity operating nationally to deliver transformational, highly personalised experiences in the UK – known as Muscle Dreams.
The charity supports children and young people (aged 8-28yrs) with the life limiting muscle wasting disease muscular dystrophy and allied neuromuscular conditions.
Muscular Dystrophy is the single biggest genetic killer of children in our world today. There are some 70,000 UK sufferers being robbed of their mobility, independence and finally, for those with the most severe form, their lives. It is a cruel and unforgiving disease.
Driven by the #powerof657 national campaign, the charity’s ambition is to deliver a total of 657 Muscle Dreams – that’s one life-changing experience for every muscle in the human body. As a small charity with limited resources, the MHF are constantly seeking new supporters to help raise the vital funds needed to achieve this goal.
For beneficiaries, every Muscle Dream is an opportunity to realise their potential – from improved confidence and greater self-esteem to an increased sense of hopefulness that opens up a support network for families and friends. That’s the power of the MHF promise. That’s the #powerof657.
