I's been quite the year already! Here's the story of our 2017 Formula One season so far...

  • JANUARY: No rest for the team after the 2016 season. After Nico Rosberg’s retirement from Formula 1, it was time to find his successor. In January we announced Lewis Hamilton’s new teammate: Valtteri Bottas.

  • FEBRUARY: Time to launch the 2017 challenger: the team comes together at Silverstone to launch the W08.

  • FEBRUARY: First official run of the season for the team: Barcelona Pre-Season Testing.

  • MARCH: Valtteri in his new race suit! Bring on 2017!

  • MARCH: The first time the Silver Arrows hit the track at a Grand Prix weekend in 2017. The Australian Grand Prix would end with two Mercedes drivers on the Podium: Lewis P2, Valtteri P3.

  • APRIL: First win of the season! Lewis Hamilton claims his and the team’s maiden 2017 win in China.

  • APRIL: Front Row lock-out for the team! Valtteri takes his first ever Pole Position for the Bahrain Grand Prix.

  • APRIL: April proved to be a special month for Valtteri: after claiming his first Pole Position in Bahrain, the Finn then took his first ever win in Russia.

  • APRIL: And wins are celebrated by the entire team. Because we can’t win on our own.

  • MAY: What better way to celebrate your first F1 win than showing off during a demo through the streets of Budapest? (The answer: there is no better way, and so Valtteri took a Silver Arrows for a spin in Hungary the day after winning in Russia).

  • MAY: A great drive by Lewis makes him the winner of the Spanish Grand Prix. Unfortunately, Valtteri did not finish the race due to a problem with the Power Unit.

  • MAY: Toto Wolff and Aldo Costa (the team’s Engineering Director) entered the Mille Miglia 2017 with a Mercedes-Benz 300SL.

  • MAY: Niki Lauda watches on, as the team struggle to replicate their previous strong form around the streets of Monte Carlo.

  • MAY: A difficult Monaco Grand Prix saw Valtteri finish 4th and Lewis finishing in P7.

  • JUNE: A special moment for Lewis on Saturday in Canada: he equals Ayrton Senna’s Pole Position record, claiming his 65th career Pole Position.

  • JUNE: Second 1-2 finish of the season: the Canadian Grand Prix was a great race for the team.

  • JUNE: An… eventful Azerbaijan Grand Prix brings the most unexpected result of the season so far. A last lap move sees Valtteri (who had dropped from P2 to P20 after a first lap accident) reclaim that second place from Lance Stroll only metres before the finish line.

  • JULY: Valtteri and Nico Rosberg showed their skills at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017.

  • JULY: Austrian Grand Prix: Valtteri’s second win of the season, bringing the team’s 2017 victories to a total of 5 from 9.

  • JULY: In between the Austrian and British Grands Prix, all 10 Formula 1 teams came together in for a one-of-a-kind demo through the streets of London.

  • JULY: The third 1-2 finish of the season for the team at the home race for the Brackley squad: Silverstone!

  • Once again, the Silverstone crowd proved to be one of a kind. Lewis celebrated his victory with the amazing fans.

  • JULY: A tough race sees the Silver Arrows chase both Ferraris hard until the very end. Valtteri gave Lewis the chance to attack – then, when the race was coming to an end, Lewis let Valtteri back through for third. It’s all about teamwork.

  • AUGUST: The in-season test in Hungary, the last official session before the summer break, saw Mercedes-Benz Junior driver George Russell debut in the W08.
