Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport team boss Toto Wolff has described the Silver Arrows taking a fourth Constructors' Championship as unbelievable.
'It's the reward for so many people'
Lewis Hamilton powered to victory at the United States Grand Prix and Valtteri Bottas finished fifth, securing Mercedes its fourth consecutive Constructors' title.
Mercedes joins McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull in being the only F1 teams to win four Championships in a row, and is the first to take back-to-back titles across major regulation changes.
"It feels great, of course," Toto said afterwards. "When we set our objectives at the beginning of the year it was to win both Championships again, and be the first team to do that through a massive regulation change like we have had this year.
"Having achieved this in Austin with three races to go feels unbelievable. It is the reward for so many people that have been working so hard for this success.
"Yes, you always try to identify silver bullets that can make a difference. But in fact there is no such thing. It's having great dynamics in the team, enjoying what we are doing and bringing it home all together."
'Sustained performance on that level, I have not seen before'
Toto hailed Lewis's current form, having won five of the last six races, and highlighted the importance of his relationship with team-mate Valtteri.
"I have been working with Lewis now for five years and I have never seen him operate at this level," he admitted.
"The raw pace is spectacular - understanding the tyres and the ability of a car that is difficult at times is not easy. Sustained performance on that level, I have not seen before. He has grown stronger over the year.
"The relationship with Valtteri is an important factor. The spirit is great within the team and that was an important piece of the jigsaw.
