Ross receives Honorary Degree from the University of Northampton

On Sunday 13 February, Ross joined over 1500 students graduating from the University of Northampton to receive an Honorary degree.

Ross received his Honorary Degree from Professor Kamal Bechkoum, Dean of the School of Science and Technology at The University of Northampton, at the ceremony which took place at the Royal & Derngate Theatre.

During his acceptance speech, Ross said: “I would like to accept this award, on my own behalf, but more importantly on behalf of the team behind me that has made it possible for me to succeed.”

“In the world of Formula One, the only way to succeed is through preparation, hard work, drive and determination. This is no different to any other profession. Today’s graduates will need all these attributes but they will also need to remember that, in whatever chosen profession they pursue, they are nearly always going to be part of a team. The ability to work together with a group of people is an essential attribute of any professional. I always quote a little acronym to remind our team. T E A M - Together Everyone Achieves More.”
