Toto Wolff appointed Associate Fellow at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School

Toto will educate the business leaders of tomorrow

The prestigious Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford has appointed Toto Wolff as Associate Fellow, where he will help guide future business leaders with his insights from one of the world's most competitive industries.

Toto will bring his unique understanding of high-performance culture, team leadership and personal effectiveness from the Formula 1 racetracks into the classroom.

As Team Principal, CEOand co-owner,Toto has ledthe Mercedes-AMG F1 team to an unprecedented seven consecutive World Championship doubles and is currently in contention for an eighth double. Alongside his sporting accomplishments, Toto enjoys a long history as a successful investor and entrepreneur, including foundingone of the earliest tech-focused venture capital firms in Europe.

Toto Wolff said:

Having worked closely with Michael Smets, Professor of Management at Oxford Saïd, over the past year, Toto has contributed significant insights into the importance of mental health, the dynamics of managing high-powered talent, and the challenges of re-inventing organizations and industries for the future.

Professor Michael Smets, commented:

'Toto is obviously best known for his winning streak as a team principal in Formula 1, but let's not forget his track record as an investor and entrepreneur as well. There are few people who can translate insights between the worlds of sport and business in the way he can. We are tremendously looking forward to this partnership to enrich our research, teaching and student experience.'

Toto has previously shared insights as part of theSchool'sLeadership in Extraordinary Times series: Driven: How to fuel success through adversity.With the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, he highlighted key lessonswhich could beapplied to any sector, abouthow tolead through adversity.

Toto's appointment will run until October 2023.
