The Vietnamese Grand Prix makes its debut on the Formula One calendar in 2020 at the Hanoi Circuit, taking the sport to another new location – and is one of two new additions to the schedule in 2020, alongside the Dutch Grand Prix.
Vietnam’s F1 venue is one of four street tracks in 2020, alongside Monaco, Singapore and Azerbaijan. The Hanoi Circuit features a mix of street and permanent sections, taking inspiration from some of the world’s greatest circuits – including the Nurburgring, Monaco and Suzuka.
The design includes a wide variety of corner types, including a series of sweeping turns towards the end of the lap, as well as some long straights to promote overtaking. It features 23 corners in total, equalling Singapore’s Marina Bay Street Circuit for the track with the most corners in F1.
