The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Esports Team leads the silver arrows into the virtual world, competing in a range of sim-racing tournaments which include: F1 Esports, ESL R1, V10R and the Le Mans Virtual Series.

Based on the premises of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team in Brackley; a purpose-built esports training facility provides the Team’s drivers with world class facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, to develop their skills, train and compete.

The Team’s affiliation with Mercedes-AMG goes further than just the name. The two Teams frequently collaborate and share information to improve Team, driver and car performance on the virtual and real-world track.

Jarno OpmeerJarno Opmeer is the 2020 and 2021 Formula One Esports Champion. The 22-year-old Dutch Esports driver and former racing driver will be looking to become the first-ever driver to win three consecutive Formula One Pro Series world titles. Jarno boasts a huge worldwide social media following of 911.7k followers across his channels.
Jake BenhamJake Benham completes Mercedes’ roster in F1 Esports Series Pro, his promotion to the series arriving after becoming a double World Online Racing series champion, as well as his successful run to third place in the 2022 Pro Exhibition feeder series. Jake got his first taste of competitive F1 Esports in 2022 and very quickly has become an integral part of the team.
James BaldwinJames Baldwin, winner of the 2019 ‘World’s Fastest Gamer’ competition and Autosport's 2022 Esports Driver of the Year Award is an exciting driver equally at home racing in the virtual or real world. James is a British GT race winner in the real world and former British GT Esports Champion and Le Mans Esports World Champion in the virtual.
Bono HuisBono Huis, a key pillar of the team since 2020. Bono has won a total of five Formula Sim Racing titles, as well as becoming the Formula E 2017 Vegas eRace Champion, Formula Pro 2021 Champion and, most recently, steered the Team to victory in the 2022 V10 R-League and a win in the Le Mans Virtual race at Spa-Francorchamps.
Marko Pejic First racing for the team in 2021, Marko Pejic returns to the team after two seasons of Formula Pro, helping the team become constructor’s champions in 2021. With multiple wins across various platforms and series including 3 race wins win the ADAC GT Masters Series and one in DTM Esports, Marko is a successful driver who specialises in GT racing, making him a crucial part of the team for the ESL R1 Series.
Dani BereznayDani Bereznay will be taking part in his seventh season in F1 Esports in 2023, and will be hoping to add to his career total of five wins and six pole positions to date. The Hungarian driver's wealth of experience extends further than just his on-track honours. In addition to having competed in 50 Esports races, Dani claimed some notoriety for his performance on the stage in the Hungarian 'X-Faktor', coming eighth in the competition during the 2017 season. Showcasing a clear pedigree for on-screen entertainment, Dani also produces videos in Hungarian for his fans on YouTube, amassing 51.4k subscribers to date.
