Composite Fitter (Fixed Term Contract - Early/Late Shift)

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Composite Fitter to join the Composite Assembly department.This is a fixed term contract opportunity and the early shift starts at 06:00am, finishing at 14:30pm and the late shift starts at 14:00pm finishing at 22:30pm. You will be expected to rotate between these patterns, working Monday to Friday.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a core department in assembling high quality carbon components for our F1 racing car in the most efficient, cost-effective manner. Key responsibilities of the role:

• Trim, fit and bond carbon fibre components as specified in engineering drawings and build instructions.

• Assembling moulds, jigs, and fixtures.

• Structural bonding of components to company specifications

• Ability to deal with technical challenges and solve problems as they arise.

• Responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards on all manufactured composites components to defined standards.

• Proactively contribute to the improvement of quality and efficiency.

• Working to challenging and demanding lead times.

• Assisting other areas of the department as required.

The successful candidate will display the following attributes:

• Ability to demonstrate significant previous experience of trimming/fitting a broad range of composite materials in Motorsport/F1.

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, always remaining respectful.

• A methodical and thorough approach to the work with excellent attention to detail.

• Be self-motivated and can motivate and influence others .

• Work as part of a team in an ever-demanding environment.

• A positive attitude and enthusiasm to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.

• Work well under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.

• Able to work with minimal supervision.

• A can-do attitude and a willingness to be flexible.
