As an Industrial Placement in Operations:

You’ll help to evaluate how our composite manufacturing team operates and provide ideas on how we can improve efficiency and effectiveness across our operation.The composite manufacturing team is large with almost 200 employees working across areas such as laminating, rapid prototype, machining and fitting.

Our Operations Data Analyst responsibilities include ERP interrogation to analyse our operational data sets, creation and development of dashboards and visual tools to provide clear and concise data points for our operational leadership team.

Reporting to the Head of Composite Manufacturing you will be supporting the manufacturing team with their operational and cost cap compliance activities working across the manufacturing organisation you’ll have the opportunity to work with operations, purchasing, planning, manufacturing engineering and design. This is an ideal position for an inquisitive engineering student to gain valuable experience in the operational and financial activities of a world leading motorsport team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Create, develop and maintain operational dashboards, working with the operations leadership team to create clear, live visualisations to drive performance

  • Document findings, prepare reports and make recommendations

  • Develop new processes and procedures to enhance our operation

  • Work with managers and team members to implement changes and improvement projects

  • Help to train employees to use new systems of follow new policies and procedures

  • Determine effectiveness of new processes

Successful candidates will:

  • Have strong analytical skills, a sound working knowledge of operational activities and vehicle engineering

  • Have at least one year remaining on your current course or be enrolled on your next course* from the point at which you start your placement with us (Please note that if you will be enrolled on a Masters or PhD course you will need to be able to evidence enrolment to confirm eligibility)

  • Be confident with numerical analysis and good communication and negotiations skills. These are required to work well with different functions across the organisation

  • Be a self-motivated, team player that is passionate about working for our team and has a winning mindset

  • Build stakeholder relationships and be able to present complex information to a range of audiences

  • Have technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL or Python. As well as data visualisation software such as PowerBI
