Electronics Systems Engineer

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in validating and optimising the electronic systems that power our race cars—from sensors and control units to data acquisition and diagnostics.

Working closely with cross-functional teams across R&D, dyno, simulator, and trackside operations, you’ll ensure our electronics meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety. You’ll be hands-on with system calibration, data integrity, and electrical configuration, while also mentoring junior talent and supporting continuous improvement across our testing environments.

Key Accountabilities (Duties):

  • Validate the functionality of electronics, sensors and control systems.

  • Calibration and sign-off of electronic sensor and component production.

  • Configuration of logging and electrical systems.

  • Ensuring that electronic systems meet the specified performance standards and assessing data quality.

  • Organization and maintenance of test results and datasets.

  • Following established processes within the Electronics System Test group to ensure compliance and consistency.

  • Provide support and mentoring for individuals participating in apprenticeship and work experience programs.

  • Engage in the review process of electrical installations and providing guidance as needed.

  • Providing comprehensive operational electronics support to other departments within the company, including but not limited to: dynos, R&D labs, simulators, customers, test and race teams.

  • Ensuring the implementation and promotion of health and safety initiatives within the test room environment.

Please note, this role will involve some travel.

Candidate profile:

  • Significant experience in delivering electronics system testing across a range of disciplines in a high-tech industry.

  • Experience with F1 electronics systems and associated software (ATLAS, System Monitor) preferred.

  • Competent with MS Office applications, advanced Excel user advantageous.

  • Experience with CAN bus diagnostic tools (CANalyzer) advantageous.

  • C, C# or MATLAB programming experience advantageous but not essential.

  • Strong understanding of data acquisition systems and serial buses.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently under limited supervision and to tight deadlines.

  • Results-oriented, determined, and committed to achieving successful outcomes.

  • Highly self-motivated with a strong drive to meet individual and team objectives.

  • Collaborative team player who actively supports colleagues.
