2024 Akkodis ‘Lead the Charge’ Candidate Announced

Kim Quaghebeur joins the team as the final selected candidate of the ‘Lead the Charge’ program

The Akkodis ‘Lead the Charge’ program kicks off its third year in 2024 with Kim Quaghebeur selected as the latest winning candidate.

She joins the team in the role of Sustainability & Environmental Data Consultant after an extensive and competitive recruitment process.

Kim heads to Brackley after a successful second year of the program. 2023 Lead the Charge candidate Maryam Shaban played a key part within the team’s sustainability objectives in her role as Sustainability Project Consultant.

As a global Smart Industry leader, Akkodis is working to help the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team achieve its commitment to Net Zero. Both organizations understand that making this a reality will require incredible people, the best technology, and creative minds.

With the Lead the Charge program, Akkodis provides the opportunity for one selected candidate to make a tangible difference in pursuit of the team’s sustainability goals while also providing a platform for individual tech career development with a focus on sustainability.

The program is designed to encourage graduating students and young tech-professionals to advance sustainability through data analytics and technology.

Kim said: "Akkodis ‘Lead the Charge’ has presented me with the best opportunity I could hope for. Leveraging my university education and fuelled by my passion for both sustainability and motorsports, I am eager to contribute to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and actively take part in their vision for a more sustainable future in the world of motorsports."

Head of Sustainability Alice Ashpitel said: “We're delighted to welcome Kim as a valuable addition to our growing Sustainability team as part of the Akkodis ‘Lead the Charge’ program, which we have been running together for several years.

“Kim stood out as an exceptional candidate for the role of our Sustainability and Environmental Data Consultant, showcasing both a profound passion and a keen understanding of how to apply smart technology to propel innovative, sustainable solutions.”

Alice added: “We are looking forward to welcoming Kim to our team and I am sure that she will be a real asset for both the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and the Akkodis family, contributing her expertise to drive our shared objectives forward.”
