Doriane Adds WEC Development Driver Role to 2026 Programme

Doriane will add another string to her racing bow this season by linking up with Peugeot as part of their World Endurance Championship (WEC) programme as a Development Driver.

The reigning F1 ACADEMY champion will fulfil the role alongside her work as a Development Driver for the three-pointed star on Lauda Drive.

The French racer will also get the chance to participate in the WEC rookie test later this the season, where she will get behind the wheel of the Peugeot 9X8 hypercar.

Doriane said: “Joining Team Peugeot TotalEnergies as a Development Driver is a great source of pride for me.

“Being able to contribute to the development of the PEUGEOT 9X8 represents a real opportunity.

“My goal is to learn as much as possible, fully integrate into the team, and bring my commitment and perspective to help contribute to the success of the project.

“It’s a big step toward my goals, and I’m determined to make the most of it with the ambition of becoming an official driver.”

Doriane competed in WEC as recently as 2023, where she scored a podium in the LMP2 class at the 12 Hours of Sebring, before becoming the first female driver to be named ‘Revelation of the Year’ at the end of season awards.

A season earlier, she claimed a class win at the 24 Hours of Spa and won the Ferrari Challenge Europe title.

In 2024, the Iron Dames star moved into the Mercedes Junior Programme to compete in F1 ACADEMY, where she scored in all 28 races she entered, sealing the title at the final round of her second season in Las Vegas in November 2025.

At the start of this season, she graduated to the role of Development Driver in Brackley, as well as serving as a mentor to our 2026 F1 ACADEMY entrant, American Payton Westcott.

In addition, Doriane will race in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), racing for the Duqueine Team.

This new role will allow Doriane to expand her already impressive CV, while offering the opportunity to collaborate directly with a top‑level FIA WEC manufacturer.

Doriane will take part in multiple simulator sessions and work closely with engineering teams as the PEUGEOT 9X8 continues to refine its performance in 2026.
