F1 heads into new territory this weekend as Madrid’s brand-new Madring hosts the Spanish Grand Prix for the first time.
The 5.4-kilometre circuit around the IFEMA Madrid exhibition centre blends public roads with purpose-built sections, creating a distinctive mix of street-circuit character and permanent-track flow.
Its 22 corners feature everything from fast sweeps and heavy braking zones to significant elevation changes, with the spectacular, steeply banked ‘La Monumental’ set to be one of the standout challenges.
The Spanish capital welcomes F1 back for the first time in more than four decades, opening a new chapter for the sport in Spain. As a completely new venue, Madring presents a fresh challenge for every team and driver, with limited real-world data making Friday practice particularly important.
