‘Looking to Build on Solid Platform’: Toto Previews Monaco

From one picturesque F1 venue to another. The team moves on from Imola and heads to Monaco this weekend, for the second leg of a double header to kick off the European season.

The Emilia Romagna GP was a promising one for the Team, which demonstrated the on-track progression we have made with W15 over the first seven races.

A huge team effort at the factory helped bring that to life, with Toto satisfied the team is on the right path to move forward as we go deeper into the 2024 season.

"The small step forward we took in Imola was encouraging," he said.

"The Team worked incredibly hard to bring our recent update trackside, and that was a clear performance gain.

"We have a clear direction and developments in the pipeline. We have a more solid platform to build on now and we are confident that, in time, we can get ourselves into the pack ahead."

There is an acknowledgement too that getting into that pack will be no easy task.

"The others have improved too. We are still a step behind the front three teams, and there is plenty of work to do."

Imola saw the team extract the best possible result from the Grand Prix.

The P6, P7 finish included beating the Red Bull of Sergio Perez, and the race pace was strong enough to have George make an extra stop and maintain track position over the Mexican.

The fresh rubber also allowed George to claim the fastest lap, picking up an extra point for the team.

Getting the most from the weekend in the principality will once again be the focus for the team.

"It is always hard to predict expected performance in Monaco," said Toto.

"But we will look to execute a clean weekend and maximise the car we have."

Whatever happens on track, there is always something magical about going back to Monaco.

"Monaco is a unique circuit and a fantastic challenge for the teams and drivers," said Toto.

"It is always a special weekend, and we look forward to putting on a good show for the fans, and our partners and guests across our extensive hospitality programme in Monte Carlo."
