Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team today announced a multiyear global partnership with Stripe, the programmable financial services company. As the team’s Official Global Payments Partner and an Official Team Partner, Stripe will collaborate across the team’s global commercial operations, applying Stripe’s technology to support the continued evolution of its financial and payments capabilities worldwide. Stripe’s branding will debut on the team’s cars and across team assets from the first race of the 2027 season. The first of a series of product deployments will launch at key races during the remainder of 2026, beginning with the team’s retail experience.

Alongside the announcement, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Principal and CEO, Toto Wolff joins Stripe Co-Founder John Collison’s podcast Cheeky Pint, released today.

John Collison, Co-Founder and President at Stripe, said, “Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team has built one of the most ambitious and successful organisations in sports. Behind that is an extraordinary standard of engineering and a relentless drive to improve. That combination resonates with how we build at Stripe. We’re looking forward to applying that same approach to the financial infrastructure supporting their next stage of growth.”

Toto Wolff, Team Principal and CEO, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, said, “Stripe is one of the world’s leading fintech brands and a hugely influential technology company that helps businesses operate and grow on a global scale. When the opportunity arose to rethink our approach in this sector, we wanted to be ambitious and partner with the very best. Stripe was the only choice. Having a partner that has Stripe’s expertise and their huge reach will help us build the right foundations for the future as we continue to develop our business in this fast-moving and increasingly connected world.”

Richard Sanders, Chief Commercial Officer, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, said, “As part of such a global sport, we operate across multiple markets, currencies, and customer touchpoints, from merchandise and experiences to partner relationships and international transactions. Stripe’s platform will help us simplify and strengthen the way we manage those interactions, creating a more seamless experience for fans, partners and stakeholders around the world. Beyond supporting our day-to-day operations, this partnership gives us the flexibility and infrastructure to continue evolving how we engage with a growing global audience.”
