The team is delighted to share that we have raised over £100,000 for our Official Team Charity Partner Helen & Douglas House, reaching our fundraising goal for our local children's hospice one year ahead of target.

The team reached the £100,000 tally earlier this year, with our current fundraising total stood at £105,809.98. We have since chosen to increase our fundraising target for our local children’s hospice to £150,000, aiming to reach this goal by December 2026.

The £105,809.98 raised by the team so far could fund 22, 72-hour supportive stays at Helen & Douglas House. These stays allow families to take a break from the challenges of caring for a terminally ill child and focus on making special memories together.

While we race across the globe, supporting our local community is incredibly important to us, and Helen & Douglas House is a local charity located just twenty-five miles from our Brackley headquarters.

Team Chief Operating Officer Rob Thomas said:

“It has been fantastic to see our team members come together over the last twelve months for our local children’s hospice. All it takes, is all of us, and this applies to everything that we do, both on and off the track.

“Charitable giving is a great source of pride for our team and forms a key part of our identity, and we are so proud to have not only reached but exceeded our fundraising goal for Helen & Douglas House one year ahead of target.

“To know how our funds will support the children in the hospice’s care is incredibly moving. We are in awe of the work undertaken by the hospice to help make every moment count for local families, and we are determined to raise even more for this incredible charity over the coming months.”

David Whittingham, CEO of Helen & Douglas House, visited our Brackley headquarters on Wednesday 11th March, just three days after our victory at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix.

David met some with some of the team members who have raised money for Helen & Douglas House to thank them personally and celebrate this wonderful achievement.

David said: “We would like to thank each and every team member who has helped raise over £100,000 a year ahead of target and to all those who will be raising more money for our charity this year.

“The hospice is a very special place where local families can make the most of their time together, creating happy memories during their children’s short lives. 90% of our funding comes from voluntary donations and this year we need to raise almost £6m to fund the cost of the care for the families we support.

“We cannot do this without amazing partners like Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team. The amount of money they have raised and will be raising this year is incredible and will help so many local families.”

Founded in 1982, Helen & Douglas House helps families in Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties to cope with the challenges of caring for children with life-shortening conditions. The hospice provides round-the-clock care and gives families the time and space to create precious memories together.

The team’s charity partnerships are chosen and led by our team members, and we have raised vital funds and awareness for some fantastic causes over the years.

The funds raised by the team so far have been generated through a range of activities. Team members have taken on skydives, run the Silverstone 10k, trekked across the Gower Peninsula, and supported a number of internal raffles.

Team members have also taken on the Oxford Half Marathon, and four team members are due to run the London Marathon in April 2026 which will add several more thousand pounds to our total.

Furthermore, the team’s annual Charity Football Match against Aston Martin F1 Team, which took place in July 2025 at Brackley Town Football Club, saw over £5,000 raised for the hospice.

In addition to our fundraising efforts, the team has delivered various experiences for the families in the hospice's care.

From arranging for families to attend the 2025 British Grand Prix and meet with George and Kimi, to funding an afternoon of karting for the siblings of the children in the hospice's care, the team continues to go above and beyond to create unforgettable memories for those supported by Helen & Douglas House.
