After the European triple-header, the grid heads to Canada this weekend for its latest visit to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

The track on the Ile-Notre Dame in Montreal has played host to several unforgettable F1 moments over the years and is a popular venue among fans and teams alike.

Below are Toto’s thoughts before round 10 of the season.

‘Building on Barcelona’.

After a difficult two races in Imola and Monaco, there were signs of encouragement last time out in Spain, a trajectory Toto is keen to maintain.

“We’re eager to get back on track in Montreal after a challenging triple-header,” Toto said.

“We showed an improved performance in Barcelona and that is something for us to build on.”

With the battle for P2 in the Constructors’ as close as it has been all season, Toto is hoping the Canadian Grand Prix can see a return to fortunes for the team.

“We know we need to be more consistent, and continue to make progress with the W16, if we are to rediscover some of our form from earlier in the season.

“We enjoyed a strong race here in 2024, and I hope we can repeat that level of performance this time round.”

A ‘Superb’ Host City

Now in its 44th year on the F1 calendar, few tracks can boast as many Grands Prix as the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, a layout that certainly knows how to keep a driver on their toes.

“It is a great track with its mix of low-speed corners and long straights often creating an exciting race,” says Toto.

“Montreal is a superb host city for F1 too and the fans always create a brilliant atmosphere.”

F1 ACADEMY returns

Round four of the F1 ACADEMY season takes place this weekend, with the series set to visit Canada for the first time since its inception.

This weekend’s action will see three races take place, making up for the cancelled second race in Miami last time out in May.

“We’re looking forward to seeing Doriane racing once again as F1 Academy returns to action,” says Toto.

“She has put in some strong performances so far this year and we will be supporting her as she looks to challenge for the lead of the championship in Canada.”
