New Power Unit. New advanced sustainable fuel developed by PETRONAS. New aerodynamic regulations. The next generation of F1 is nearly upon us.
The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team continues its journey towards that horizon on Thursday 22nd January as images of our 2026 car, the Mercedes-AMG F1 W17 E PERFORMANCE, will be seen for the first time. Renders of this season’s challenger will be published across the team’s social media channels.
It marks the next step in preparations for the 2026 season. That build up continues with the first of three pre-season tests which takes place in Barcelona (January 26-30), before the team hosts its 2026 digital season launch show on Monday 2nd February.
The season launch will feature CEO and Team Principal Toto Wolff, race drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, and in-depth insight on all the technical changes from senior team members including a deep dive into the advanced sustainable fuels developed by PETRONAS.
The event will be available to watch via the team’s social media channels.
