Formula 1 heads to the Hungaroring for the final race before the summer break and after the changeable conditions of Spa last weekend, Budapest is set to deliver a warm, dry and increasingly sunny three days.
The Hungaroring is renowned as one of the hottest and most physically demanding venues on the calendar. The circuit's enclosed, low-altitude bowl traps heat and offers little natural airflow, meaning track temperatures regularly exceed ambient conditions by a significant margin. Teams will be monitoring a yellow thunderstorm warning in place for Thursday, but the race weekend itself looks largely settled.
Here's the Weekend's Weather Watch:
Friday: Pleasant conditions with long sunny spells and a north-north-westerly breeze will greet the team for FP1 and FP2, with temperatures reaching 25°C and a low chance of a passing shower.
Saturday: Warmer and brighter for FP3 and Qualifying, with no chance of rain, a light south-south-westerly breeze and highs of 29°C arriving just in time for the start of qualifying.
Sunday: Race day begins under cloud, with skies expected to clear through the afternoon. Temperatures reach 29°C around the time of the race build-up with a gentle breeze and a below 20% chance of rain during the Grand Prix itself. Any showers are forecast to hold off until the evening, making for a dry race at the Hungaroring.
