What Is the Weather Forecast for the 2026 Italian GP?

3 September 2026

The Temple of Speed awaits, for Round 14 of the Formula 1 season and the forecast points to a scorching weekend in the Lombardy sun. High pressure looks set to hold firm across all three days, meaning teams should be prepared for serious heat rather than any weather drama.

This is a traditional weekend format, with three practice sessions building into Saturday's Qualifying and Sunday's Grand Prix, so track temperature and tyre degradation in the heat will matter more than any rain risk this time round.

Here's the weekend's weather watch:

Friday: Clear skies and light winds greet the team for both practice sessions, with FP1 starting warm and FP2 pushing into the hottest part of the day. Temperatures reach a high of 34°C, with negligible chance of rain and a gentle breeze.

Saturday: More of the same as practice continues into Qualifying with both taking place under full sun, with highs of 34°C, less than 5% chance of rain, and light winds all day.

Sunday: Race day stays dry and bright from start to finish. Temperatures reach a high of 33°C as the Team line up for the Italian Grand Prix, with rain chance remaining below 5% and a light breeze offering little relief from the heat.
