SAP Production Planning (PP) Functional Consultant

About the Role:

We have a new opportunity for a Functional Consultant with deep experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) to join our ERP team. This role is focused on supporting and enhancing the production planning processes that drive our build and manufacturing operations.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders across planning, manufacturing, logistics and procurement to understand their needs and translate these into well-considered, scalable SAP solutions - primarily within the PP space.

While you’ll work within the broader Supply Chain Product Team, your focus will be on ensuring our planning and production workflows are robust, efficient, and ready to meet the demands of a Formula One environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Owning the SAP PP space - leading the design, configuration, and support of solutions that underpin our production planning processes.

• Partnering with business users to review planning cycles, material flows, and shop floor activities - identifying opportunities to streamline and improve.

• Supporting production strategies, MRP, order management, capacity planning, and integration with adjacent modules (MM, QM, PM).

• Participating across the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to testing, training and go-live support.

• Working closely with developers and technical colleagues to ensure a smooth and reliable integration across the ERP landscape.

• Preparing clear, usable documentation and providing training and support to end users.

• Keeping pace with SAP S/4HANA developments, contributing ideas and insights to help us stay ahead.

Essential:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP PP - covering planning strategies, production orders, capacity planning and integration with manufacturing processes.

• A track record of working as a functional consultant within supply chain/manufacturing-focused SAP projects.

• Understanding of integration points with MM, QM, PM, and FICO.

• Experience with both SAP ECC and S/4HANA, ideally including on-prem and cloud environments.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

• A proactive, flexible mindset - comfortable working in a high-change, high-performance setting.

Desirable:

• Automotive or R&D sector experience.

• Familiarity with Agile or Activate methodologies.

• Exposure to other ERP systems or cross-functional supply chain roles.
