Social media has the power to unite and connect people from all over the world. But it can also be an outlet for people to share negativity and disrespectful comments. As we outline in our Community Guidelines, we want to provide a safe, supportive and fun place for Formula One fans – no matter the team or driver you support.
Discrimination of any kind has no place in our society and world. And every single one of you has the power to help stop the spreading of negativity and discrimination on social media. Below, we outline how you can report users on different social media channels.
Swipe left or hold down on the comment (depending on the device, if on desktop, hover over the comment and hit the three dots) and press on the report icon – which is a box with an exclamation mark.
A menu will appear. Choose the option you feel best represents the comment you are reporting. Click on the option and hit ‘Submit Report’.

Press down on the comment (or hover over it and hit the three dots, if on desktop) and the menu will appear. Hitting ‘Hide Comment’ will mean you no longer see that comment on that post.
Click on ‘Find support or report comment’ and a more detailed menu will appear. Select the option you feel best represents the comment you are reporting. More menus may appear, depending on what you choose. Clicking ‘Submit’ will send your report to the platform.

Each post and reply contains three dots in the right-hand corner. Click on these three dots to bring up the menu. Hit ‘Block’ to stop the user seeing your posts, and hit ‘Mute’ to stop seeing the user’s posts.
If you would like to report a comment or post, click on ‘Report Tweet’ and select the option you feel is most relevant to the comment. Proceed through the options to escalate the post and report it. Please note, not all options in the different menus will actually report a comment, some will simply recommend blocking or muting the user.

On each YouTube comment and video, hitting the three dots brings up a menu. Click ‘Report’ and proceed through the following steps, selecting the relevant option for the comment or video you are looking to report. Hit ‘Report’ and this will submit it to YouTube.

To report a comment on TikTok, hold down on it and hit ‘Report’. A menu will appear. Select the most relevant option to the comment in question, and then click ‘Submit’.
To report a video, click the ‘share’ arrow and at the bottom, an option to ‘Report’ will appear. Select the appropriate option and click ‘Submit’.

You can report a comment on LinkedIn by hitting the three dots to bring up the menu and selecting the ‘Report’ option, which takes you to a further menu. Select the relevant and most appropriate option to the comment and proceed through the next menus, to submit the report.
