Five Things You Need to Know About Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the most iconic events in the motorsport calendar.

Held annually on the picturesque Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, it brings together legendary cars, world-famous drivers, cutting-edge technology, and hundreds of thousands of fans for a four-day celebration of speed and innovation.

Before this year’s event here are five things you need to know about our presence at the festival.

Motorsport’s Ultimate Summer Festival

Often described as motorsport’s biggest garden party, the Festival of Speed combines the heritage of racing with the latest developments in automotive technology. From historic Formula One machinery to modern hypercars, the event offers fans the unique opportunity to see vehicles from every era of motorsport up close while watching them in action on the famous hillclimb.

Our Largest Presence Yet

For 2026, we’ll be debuting an all-new immersive fan hub in the festival’s F1 Pit Lane area. Designed to recreate the atmosphere of a real Formula One paddock, the experience features a true-to-life pit lane and garage environment that brings fans closer to the sport than ever before.

It will be our biggest-ever activation at Goodwood and the closest fans can get to the race track without attending a Grand Prix.

Test Your Skills Like an F1 Mechanic

A standout feature of the new fan hub is the pit-stop challenge. Guided by current and former team mechanics, fans will learn the choreography, teamwork, and precision required to complete a Formula One tyre change on the 2018 Championship-winning W09.

Alongside the pit-stop experience, fans can enjoy state-of-the-art racing simulators, authentic driver memorabilia, custom grid-pass creation, exclusive merchandise, and opportunities to win special prizes.

Tackling the Famous Hillclimb

No visit to Goodwood would be complete without the festival’s legendary 1.89km Hillclimb. This year, our Third Driver Fred Vesti will drive the W13 from Friday through Sunday, giving fans the chance to hear and see F1 machinery in full flight. The car, which delivered George’s maiden Grand Prix victory in São Paulo in 2022, will appear in the team’s striking 2026 livery as it takes on one of motorsport’s most celebrated stretches of road.

Future of Fan Engagement

Goodwood is more than a one-off event. Our new fan hub represents the first step in a wider vision to bring immersive paddock experiences to fans throughout the season. The concept will appear at future events later in 2026, making Goodwood the first opportunity for supporters to experience a new era of fan engagement that blends technology, storytelling, and the authentic sights and sounds of Formula One.

Whether you're a lifelong fan of F1 or simply curious about motorsport, Goodwood Festival of Speed remains one of the best places in the world to experience the past, present, and future of racing and this year, the team will bring fans closer to the action than ever before.
