‘Full Focus on Securing P2’ – Toto’s Abu Dhabi GP Preview

F175 is nearly in the books, there’s just one final chapter to write in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

With 23 races and six Sprints behind us, only the Grand Prix at Yas Marina stands between the grid and the end of the season.

P2 ‘In Our Hands’

The battle for P2 in the Constructors’ had been a season-long duel between our team, Red Bull, and Ferrari going into Qatar.

With the Scuderia now unable to match our points tally, only Red Bull can prevent the team securing P2 when the chequered flag falls this Sunday.

But as we saw at the weekend, anything can happen in F1.

“One race to go. After a challenging weekend in Qatar, second place in the Constructors’ is still in our hands,” said Toto.

“It’s a solid position, but far from guaranteed, so we need to deliver a strong performance to finish the job.

“The fight for the Drivers’ Championship will take centre stage, but that’s not our concern. Our full focus is on securing P2 and ending the season on a positive note.

Finish Strong. Carry Momentum

It’s not just the 2025 season that comes to an end this weekend, it is also the 252^nd and final of the current Turbo-Hybrid generation of F1 car.

“Abu Dhabi doesn’t just mark the final race of the year; it closes an important chapter in F1's history,” said Toto.

“We say goodbye to the current generation of Power Units that have defined the sport since 2014.

“It’s been an era of remarkable success for Mercedes, with the three-pointed star powering 10 of the last 12 Constructors’ titles, eight of those with our works team.

“As we prepare for the next era, we want to add to the 140 Mercedes-powered wins and 385 podiums achieved so far.

“The aim is clear: finish strong and carry momentum into 2026.”
