Look Back Through George’s 10 Mercedes Podiums

George's superb third-place finish in Abu Dhabi not only helped the team claim P2 in the Constructors' Championship but earned the driver his 10th podium with Mercedes.

To mark the milestone, we've taken a look back at all 10 of his top-three finishes with the team.

Australian GP 2022

Australia is where George's podium run with the team started in 2022. He had, of course, achieved his first F1 podium with Williams a year earlier at the rain-affected Belgium Grand Prix, but his first with us came at Melbourne.

Third place was just reward for his strong start to the season, moving him up to second in the Drivers' Championship after finishing fourth at the Bahrain season-opener and fifth at the second race in Saudi Arabia.

Spanish GP 2022

Solid drives in Italy and the US set up a second podium of the season at the Spanish GP.

A superb drive from George, holding up eventual race-winner Max Verstappen for much of the race, helped underline his prowess as a driver and he was rewarded with another third-place finish behind the Dutchman and Checo Perez.

Azerbaijan GP 2022

Retirements helped George in Baku, with both Ferraris bowing out of the race, leading our driver to a hat-trick of top threes and keeping up his record of being the only driver to finish in the top five in the first seven events of the season.

French GP 2022

It was a Mercedes double podium in France as Lewis took second, his fifth top-three of the season, while George claimed third.

George battled hard with Perez in the Red Bull and while the pair swapped positions, it was our man who came out on top after the restart from a virtual safety car with three laps to go.

Despite a nervy finish, George held on to record his fourth podium of the year.

Hungarian GP 2022

Another Mercedes double followed the race at Paul Ricard, this time in Hungary.

It began perfectly for George as he produced a stunning performance in Qualifying to claim his first pole in Formula 1.

While the end result wasn't quite the P1 George would have hoped for, another third-place spot, behind Lewis and Verstappen, was another great result for the then 24-year-old.

Dutch GP 2022

George claimed his first second-place finish in a Mercedes at Zandvoort, matching his best career position since joining from Williams.

Italian GP 2022

A seventh podium came the following week at Monza. George qualified sixth but started the race second after a number of drivers took grid penalties.

A steady race saw George come in third behind Verstappen and Leclerc.

São Paulo GP 2022

Sunday, 13 November 2022, São Paulo. A date and place George will never forget.

The penultimate event of the 2022 season saw George not only take victory in the Sprint race - on its own an impressive achievement - he went one step further on the Sunday to claim his maiden Grand Prix victory.

George was in control through the incident-packed race, surviving a late safety-car bunch-up to finish ahead of Lewis in second.

The win rounded off a great weekend for the team with a Sprint victory, a front-row lockout and a one-two finish in the race.

Spanish GP 2023

George collected his ninth Mercedes podium at the Spanish Grand Prix earlier this year.

Starting from 12th on the grid, an impressive run saw him move through the field and up into the top three behind Lewis in second.

Abu Dhabi GP 2023

The wait for number 10 lasted until the final race of the 2023 season and a determined George, who was suffering with illness through the weekend, battled hard to fend off Ferrari and helped us secure P2 in the Constructors' Championship.
