In light of the Formula One regulation changes in 2026, which will see the introduction of 100% sustainable fuels, PETRONAS invited sustainability leaders from various NGOs to an exclusive event to discuss the Team’s journey to 2026.

Activation Overview

Kicking off the British Grand Prix weekend, PETRONAS hosted 25 sustainability leaders at the Team’s Silverstone Heritage Facility. The event featured a series of panel sessions with key spokespeople from both PETRONAS and the Team.

Discussions focused on sustainability in motorsport, spotlighting the long-standing partnership between PETRONAS and the Team. Key topics included the road to meeting the 2026 sustainable fuel regulations and PETRONAS’ ongoing support of the Team’s mission to become one of the most sustainable teams in Formula One.

As part of the event, guests were also taken on a tour around the Heritage Facility and invited to participate in an exciting Pitstop Challenge. This enabled them to feel the rush of changing the tyres on a Formula 1 car first-hand.

To conclude the event, the 2024 PETRONAS interns met with the CEO of PETRONAS, Tengku Muhammad Taufik, to reflect on their experience with the Team, ahead of their visit to Silverstone Circuit.
