Performance and Simulation Engineer – Non-F1

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Performance and Simulation Engineer to join our non‑F1 team, contributing directly to the development of our high‑performance vehicle programmes.

In this role, you’ll be part of a small, highly skilled group focused on shaping the performance direction of our vehicles. You’ll help define new performance concepts, build and refine high‑fidelity simulation models, and provide data‑driven insight that guides key engineering decisions. Your work will influence everything from vehicle behaviour and system architecture to the methodologies we use to assess performance.

Working closely with designers, aerodynamicists, and wider technical stakeholders, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing our simulation capability and ensuring we make robust, objective choices throughout the concept and design phases. Your contribution will directly impact the performance, handling, and competitiveness of our non‑F1 projects.

Be part of a small team:

  • To propose and develop new vehicle performance concepts and support the mathematical modelling and design of high-performance vehicles

  • To develop, analyse and tune handling and ride properties of high performance vehicles and/or its systems

  • To develop hi-fidelity vehicle models and to continually improve our vehicle dynamics simulation capabilities

  • To improve and develop new methodologies for performance analysis to support objective technical decision making

Candidate profile:

  • Strong academic background, with a Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering Degree (2:1minimumgrade) or similar.

  • Experience with simulation and vehicle dynamics, ideally in Formula One or another top-level motorsport category.

  • Appreciation of vehicle dynamics and tyre dynamics fundamentals, efficient modelling & coding practices

  • Experience usingMatlab; experience with multi-body software, (Dymolaas an example) will be a plus

  • Ability to work effectively in small, focused teams towards tight deadlines

  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills
