Viva Las Vegas!

Following three action-packed races in the last three Formula 1 seasons, the Las Vegas Grand Prix will remain on the calendar through to the 2037 season after a new 10-year extension was signed.

The 6.2km Las Vegas Strip Circuit has played host to the Grand Prix since its introduction in 2023. Drivers exceed speeds of 322 km/h on the circuit’s main straight, passing several iconic Vegas landmarks.

F1’s history in Vegas stretches back over 40 years: the Caesars Palace Grand Prix, set on a temporary circuit in the hotel of the same name’s parking lot, was held in 1981 and 1982.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, said:

“We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue racing in Las Vegas for many years to come. Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, rapidly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities and influencers.”

“It has delivered a strong and lasting impact on the local economy and community. We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market. I would like to thank Las Vegas Grand Prix, Clark County, and the LVCVA for their continued support, passion, and vision.”

“The future is incredibly exciting, and we look forward to taking this event to even greater heights.”

Polesitter George Russell led home Lewis Hamilton for a famous Mercedes one-two in the 2024 race.

Last year, George added to our haul of podiums with a P2 finish and was joined on the rostrum by Kimi Antonelli, finishing P3 after starting from 17th on the grid.

Vegas also holds fond memories elsewhere in the Mercedes family. Last year, Doriane Pin took the first race win and secured her F1 Academy championship in the final round of the season.
